Summary by Party

The detail below shows a summary of responses to each of the eight questions by the candidate’s party. The questions themselves covered areas that were not necessarily contained in the individual party manifesto for this election. Individual candidates were asked for their individual responses. Responses should not, therefore be considered to be party policy.
However, where a candidate (or candidates) from a particular political party has not responded in an electoral Division, the summary may give an indication of the position that candidate is more likely to adopt. It may be worth looking at the qualifications individual candidates have provided in their comments on questions.
Independent candidates views are included in this summary for completeness. By definition, these candidates do not subscribe to a collective manifesto, so no inference can be made about the position of any independent candidate who did not respond to the survey.
